Nano Technology and Robotics Eligibility

Eligibility differs by institution and admission authority. Current official brochures are final.

BTech eligibility

Candidates commonly need Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational or another approved subject. Many systems prescribe 45 per cent, with relaxation under applicable rules, while institutions can require higher marks.

Parent-programme requirements

There is no verified standard NSUT route for an exact Nano Technology and Robotics degree. Applicants should first identify an active parent programme—such as Nanotechnology, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Materials or Biomedical Engineering—and then follow that institution's subject, marks and entrance conditions.

Students must not infer eligibility from an unrelated manufacturing or automation programme with a similar technology label.

Diploma and lateral entry

Eligible diploma holders in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Automobile, Tool Engineering or related branches may join the second year where permitted. Minimum marks, entrance and seats vary.

Some systems accept eligible B.Sc graduates with Mathematics and bridge study. Candidates should confirm whether the exact branch has lateral-entry seats. Course application: nanorobotic systems.

MTech eligibility

Related postgraduate programmes may accept BE/BTech in Nanotechnology, Materials, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Instrumentation, Biomedical, Chemical or another specified discipline. Minimum marks and accepted backgrounds vary substantially.

NIT programmes commonly require the stated CGPA or marks plus a valid GATE score. Private universities may use GATE, an institute test or merit. Course application: nanorobotic systems.

GATE paper

The relevant GATE paper depends on the parent programme and can include Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical, Engineering Sciences or another paper explicitly accepted by the institute.

Mathematics and Physics preparation

Mathematics supports mechanics, optimisation, statistics and control. Physics supports forces, heat, material behaviour and measurement. Computer skills increasingly support design and automation. Course application: nanorobotic systems.

Medical and safety considerations

Workshop and plant activity may involve machinery, heat, fumes and lifting. Students must follow safety procedures. Institutions should provide reasonable support and proper controls rather than relying only on personal protective equipment. Course application: nanorobotic systems.

Documents required

Common documents include Class 10 and 12 records, entrance score, identity proof, photographs, domicile and category certificates, transfer or migration certificate and medical forms. PG candidates need degree records and GATE details. Course application: nanorobotic systems.
