Counselling and seat allotment

IPU CET M.Tech counselling should be followed through the authority’s official process. Complete the stages actually specified for the programme: separate registration, payment, document checks, preferences and offer acceptance where applicable. Retain confirmations and admission letters. Choice locking and centralised allotment are not universal university procedures.

Before accepting a seat, confirm the programme, institution or campus, category, fee, deadline, reporting mode and upgrade rules. Understand whether an action means freeze, float, slide, willingness, retain or withdraw in that specific process; labels are authority specific. Never assume that paying one fee automatically completes admission.

At reporting, carry the originals and copies listed in the allotment letter. Keep an acknowledgement for any original submitted temporarily. Read the refund and withdrawal rules before payment, especially while waiting for another result. After completing the process, verify that the portal shows the intended status.
