JELET 2026 exam pattern
Engineering Paper I is a two-hour English OMR test with 100 MCQs worth 120 marks: Mathematics 40 questions/50 marks, Physics 30/35, Chemistry 20/25 and Electrical/Electronics fundamentals 10/10. Category 1 has 80 one-mark questions with −0.25 for a wrong answer. Category 2 has 20 two-mark questions with no negative marks; any wrong option gives zero, while an incomplete set containing only correct options receives proportional credit. Pharmacy Paper II has a separate 100-question Category 1 structure.
Use the pattern for the specific programme and year when practising. A subject list does not establish marks, penalties or a time limit unless those are separately stated.
