KCET eligibility criteria

Engineering applicants need the specified Class 12/second-PUC qualification, English as a language, Physics and Mathematics, and an accepted additional subject. The academic aggregate is generally 45%, or 40% for eligible reserved-category Karnataka candidates. The applicable KEA eligibility clause and certificates remain essential.

Eligibility should be checked in layers: eligibility to submit the form, eligibility to sit the paper, programme eligibility, category or quota eligibility, and counselling eligibility. Appearing in an examination or receiving a rank does not cure a missing subject, minimum mark, valid certificate or residence condition.

Compare the spelling of the name, initials, parents' names and date of birth across the Class 10 certificate, identity proof and qualifying records. Genuine differences should be corrected lawfully or disclosed through the official process. Never edit an official certificate. Reserved-category, income, residence, disability and special-category documents must use the format and validity period required for the 2026 cycle.
