Check Class 12 subjects, Mathematics, marks, diploma routes, postgraduate prerequisites and programme-specific entry rules.
Artificial Intelligence Eligibility
Eligibility depends on the programme level, degree type, institution and admission route.
B.Tech Artificial Intelligence Eligibility
Candidates generally need to:
- complete Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board;
- study Physics and Mathematics as compulsory or accepted core subjects;
- satisfy the additional subject requirements of the institution;
- meet the prescribed aggregate marks; and
- qualify the accepted entrance examination or merit process.
Many colleges ask for approximately 45–60 per cent aggregate marks. Highly competitive institutions and counselling systems may apply higher requirements or rank-based cut-offs.
Candidates should check the current official prospectus rather than depending on a general percentage.
BSc Artificial Intelligence Eligibility
BSc programmes may require Class 12 with Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or a science background. Some universities accept students from broader subject combinations if they studied Mathematics.
Admission can be based on CUET UG, university entrance examinations or Class 12 merit.
BCA Artificial Intelligence Eligibility
BCA eligibility varies. Some institutions accept students from any Class 12 stream, while others require Mathematics, Computer Science or a minimum aggregate.
Students should examine whether the programme contains sufficient mathematics and computer-science fundamentals for their intended AI career.
Diploma and Certificate Eligibility
Diploma programmes may admit students after Class 10, Class 12 or graduation, depending on level. Beginner certificates may have no formal prerequisite, while advanced programmes may require Python, statistics and prior computing knowledge.
M.Tech Artificial Intelligence Eligibility
Candidates generally need an eligible BE, B.Tech or equivalent qualification in:
- Computer Science and Engineering;
- Information Technology;
- Artificial Intelligence;
- AI and Machine Learning;
- Data Science;
- Electronics and Communication Engineering;
- Electrical Engineering; or
- another discipline accepted by the institution.
A valid GATE score may be required for admission or financial assistance.
MSc Artificial Intelligence Eligibility
MSc programmes may accept graduates in:
- Computer Science;
- Information Technology;
- Artificial Intelligence;
- Mathematics;
- Statistics;
- Data Science;
- Electronics;
- Engineering; or
- related fields.
Some universities require Mathematics or programming at the undergraduate level.
PhD Eligibility
PhD applicants generally need a relevant master’s degree. Some institutions admit exceptional four-year bachelor’s degree holders through direct doctoral routes.
Selection may consider:
- national examination scores;
- academic performance;
- written examination;
- programming ability;
- research proposal;
- publications;
- statement of purpose; and
- technical interview.
Documents Required for Admission
Typical documents include:
- Class 10 marksheet and certificate;
- Class 12 marksheet and certificate;
- diploma records, where applicable;
- undergraduate marksheets and degree certificate;
- postgraduate records for doctoral admission;
- entrance-examination scorecard;
- counselling allotment letter;
- transfer certificate;
- migration certificate;
- category certificate;
- domicile certificate;
- income certificate;
- disability certificate;
- identity proof;
- passport-size photographs;
- work-experience certificate; and
