Manufacturing Process and Automation Engineering Entrance Exams

JEE Main

JEE Main is the principal examination for NSUT's exact B.Tech route. Candidates must register separately for Joint Admission Counselling Delhi, complete choice filling and meet the current academic criteria.

JAC Delhi counselling

JAC Delhi uses JEE Main rank, category, region and choices to allot participating seats. Applicants must select the exact NSUT campus and branch code. Previous cutoffs are planning references, not guarantees.

GATE

GATE is relevant to NSUT's currently listed related M.Tech programmes and many postgraduate manufacturing routes elsewhere. Each department specifies the active programme title, accepted qualifying degrees, GATE papers, score weightage and any additional test or interview.

Other undergraduate routes

State and university examinations may lead to related Manufacturing, Production, Automation, Mechanical or Mechatronics programmes. They should not be described as routes to the exact NSUT course.

Related postgraduate routes

COEP and other universities may use GATE and state postgraduate counselling. Shiv Nadar University Chennai uses its own stated professional and academic conditions. Candidates must examine mode and project requirements.

Discontinued programmes

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University's M.Tech Manufacturing Engineering and Automation was reported discontinued in July 2025. A discontinued Computer-Integrated Manufacturing course at ADYPU should also not be presented as active.

Preparation strategy

UG candidates should follow the official PCM syllabus and practise timed questions. PG candidates should prepare Mechanical or another accepted GATE paper and revise manufacturing fundamentals.
