Recent listings for NSUT illustrate the reporting difference: the four-year B.Tech tuition has been listed around ₹4.46 lakh by one course listing, while another total-fee listing has shown approximately ₹7.83 lakh. An older postgraduate listing has shown tuition around ₹94,000, but it should not be treated as proof of a currently active identically titled M.Tech. These differences may reflect programme titles, fee components or reporting periods, so candidates must use the current NSUT programme list and fee notice.
Related postgraduate programmes vary. COEP's M.Tech Manufacturing Engineering and Automation has been listed around ₹2.20 lakh, while Shiv Nadar University Chennai's related programme has appeared around ₹3.21 lakh. Historical PTU fees should not be used because that programme was reported discontinued in July 2025.
Additional costs
Students may pay examination, laboratory, library, development, registration and caution fees. Hostel, mess, transport, laptop, safety shoes and project material are additional.
Scholarships
Government, category, income, merit and institutional schemes may apply. GATE-qualified PG students may receive assistance under current rules and conditions.
Value assessment
Compare operational laboratories, faculty, internships and branch placements with total cost. Expensive automation equipment has little value without student access and capable instruction.
