Printing and Packaging Technology Course Duration

The regular BTech or BE Printing and Packaging Technology programme lasts four years and is divided into eight semesters. Diploma study generally lasts three years, while MTech normally lasts two years.

First year

Students usually study Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, computing, graphics, mechanics, electrical fundamentals and communication. Some institutions introduce chemical processes in the first year. Course application: printing and package production.

Second year

Material balances, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanical operations and laboratory courses establish the chemical-engineering core.

Third year

Students study heat transfer, mass transfer, reaction engineering, process control, equipment and safety. Industrial training may occur during the summer. Course application: printing and package production.

Fourth year

Plant design, economics, simulation, electives and the final-year project integrate learning. Students may specialise in petroleum, biochemical, energy, environment or materials subjects. Course application: printing and package production.

Internship duration

Project duration

Academic completion
