Remote testing and centre testing

If a phase is authorised as remotely proctored, use the required compatibility check on the intended device and connection. Confirm the camera, microphone and any specified browser or software requirements. A test successfully opened on a friend's laptop does not establish that the student's own setup is ready.

Arrange a space where the candidate can work independently without interruptions. Keep only materials permitted by the actual instructions. The absence of an invigilator physically beside the desk does not make outside assistance acceptable. Follow the monitoring and identification requirements throughout the session.

If the assigned test is centre-based, plan travel using the exact venue and reporting time. A city name alone may cover several possible centres. Check the route and allow a realistic arrival margin, especially where traffic or an unfamiliar campus entrance could cause delay.

These two arrangements require different preparation, which is why a general label of online is insufficient. The final operational checklist should be built from the phase-specific admit card and instructions, not from a universal paragraph copied across entrance examinations.
