Preparation strategy and study resources

Use concept–example–practice cycles. Read a short concept block, study one worked example, solve a small set without notes and record the cause of every error. Classify errors as a knowledge gap, wrong formula, calculation mistake, misreading, time pressure or unsupported guessing. Review this error register before each mock.

Choose a limited resource stack: the official syllabus, core qualifying-level textbooks, one dependable question source, previous papers where valid and a mock series that follows the confirmed pattern. Constantly changing books creates the feeling of work without completing revision. A difficult topic should be split into prerequisites, standard problems and mixed application.

Retrieval practice is essential. Close the book and reproduce formulas, definitions, methods and common exceptions from memory. Compare the attempt with the source and correct it immediately. Short, frequent recall sessions are generally stronger than one long revision at the end. Protect sleep and use a timetable that can be followed for several weeks.
