AKITS offers technical and management education through B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and diploma programme groups. The ECIN database contains a larger set of individual course records, while four verified groups are currently published with official-source support. This distinction prevents unverified or discontinued branches from being presented as active merely because they appeared in an older directory.

B.Tech is the main undergraduate engineering route and normally runs for four years in full-time mode. Students should review the current branch list, sanctioned intake and counselling code before exercising web options. Engineering branches can differ considerably in mathematics, laboratory work, software exposure, field activity and career direction.

M.Tech is a postgraduate engineering route generally completed over two years. Entry normally requires a relevant undergraduate qualification and the entrance or counselling process applicable to the programme. Specialisation availability should be checked for the current cycle because postgraduate intakes may be revised.

The MBA group provides postgraduate management education, generally over two years. Candidates should confirm the accepted entrance examination, counselling route, specialisation structure and total payable fee. An engineering-campus MBA can offer interaction with technical disciplines, but students should evaluate the management curriculum, internships and placement support separately.

Diploma engineering programmes generally run for three years and may provide a practice-oriented pathway after Class 10. Eligible diploma graduates may later explore lateral entry to a related B.Tech programme through the prescribed state process. Lateral entry remains subject to eligibility, branch mapping, examination performance, counselling and seat availability.

Before choosing a course, compare its curriculum, laboratory requirements, faculty availability, academic calendar, examination scheme, internship support and progression options. The course title alone is not sufficient. Students should download the current syllabus and written approval or prospectus information and should confirm whether the advertised branch is open in the intended academic year.

Applicant verification checklist

Before relying on this section, verify the following items for the intended 2026-27 admission cycle: exact branch name, sanctioned intake, duration, curriculum, laboratory access, progression route and current status. Keep a dated copy or screenshot of the official notice used for the decision. If information is given by telephone, request the same detail through an official email or written prospectus, especially when it affects eligibility, payment or reporting.

Compare information only when the programme, year and category match. An older figure can provide background but should not be presented as the current rule. Where two sources differ, prefer the competent authority or the latest official college document and ask AKITS to clarify the difference. ECIN deliberately marks uncertain matters instead of filling gaps with assumptions.

Students should also consider personal suitability. Travel, residential needs, preferred branch, learning style, budget, career plans and willingness to build practical skills can matter as much as a headline statistic. Make the final choice after reviewing documents, speaking with the institution and, where practical, visiting the campus and relevant department.
