Faculty quality should be assessed at department level because engineering, management and diploma programmes require different subject expertise. Students should look beyond the total number of teachers. Relevant indicators include qualifications, specialisation, teaching experience, continuity, class allocation, laboratory supervision, project mentoring and accessibility outside lectures. A favourable overall ratio does not ensure that every specialised subject has the same support.
For B.Tech and diploma programmes, practical teaching and workshop supervision are important. For M.Tech, applicants should examine faculty expertise in the intended specialisation and the feasibility of project or dissertation work. MBA candidates should review management-domain coverage, industry interaction and internship guidance.
Prospective students can ask for the latest department-wise faculty list and timetable. They may also review academic activities, seminars, projects and publications where available. Promotional profiles should be checked against current employment and programme assignment.
Effective learning also depends on student participation. Regular attendance, preparation, laboratory work, questions and project ownership help students benefit from faculty support. Students should use mentoring and feedback systems early rather than waiting until examinations.

Structured faculty records should include name, designation, qualification, department, specialisation and an official profile source. Applicant verification checklist
Before relying on this section, verify the following items for the intended 2026-27 admission cycle: department, qualification, specialisation, continuity, course allocation, laboratory supervision and project mentoring. Keep a dated copy or screenshot of the official notice used for the decision. If information is given by telephone, request the same detail through an official email or written prospectus, especially when it affects eligibility, payment or reporting.
Compare information only when the programme, year and category match. An older figure can provide background but should not be presented as the current rule. Where two sources differ, prefer the competent authority or the latest official college document and ask AKITS to clarify the difference. ECIN deliberately marks uncertain matters instead of filling gaps with assumptions.
Students should also consider personal suitability. Travel, residential needs, preferred branch, learning style, budget, career plans and willingness to build practical skills can matter as much as a headline statistic. Make the final choice after reviewing documents, speaking with the institution and, where practical, visiting the campus and relevant department.
