Aeronautical Engineering Colleges in India
This is a verified discovery list, not a ranking. A college is included only where current institutional information confirms a programme specifically titled Aeronautical Engineering. Programme status was checked in August 2026; intake, fees and admission routes must still be confirmed for the student’s category before payment.
This list currently contains institutions whose programme details were verified from recent official information. More colleges will be added after verification.

Aerospace alternatives must remain separate
Some strong institutions teach closely related material under Aerospace Engineering. They should not be mixed into the table above. For example, IIT programmes reached through JEE Advanced commonly use Aerospace Engineering, and Anna University’s MIT Campus currently identifies an Aerospace Engineering department. Students open to both titles can compare those alternatives separately.
College verification checklist
Before shortlisting a college, confirm:
- The exact degree title appears for the current admission year.
- The campus and awarding university are clearly identified.
- Current intake and seat categories are published.
- The accepted examination or counselling route is known.
- Tuition comes from a current official fee notice and states annual or total basis.
- Hostel, mess, deposits and examination charges are separated.
- Wind-tunnel, structures, propulsion, avionics, CAD and simulation facilities are working and available to undergraduates.
- Faculty specialisations, student projects, internships and role-wise placement evidence can be examined.
Do not treat an aircraft displayed on campus as proof of teaching quality. Ask how often students use the laboratories, what they measure, which projects were completed recently and whether placement reports identify actual aerospace or aviation roles.
