Augmented and Virtual Reality Eligibility

Eligibility depends heavily on whether the programme is B.Tech, BCA, BSc, B.Voc, M.Tech, diploma or certificate.

B.Tech AR and VR Eligibility

Candidates generally need to:

  • complete Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board;
  • study Physics and Mathematics as compulsory or accepted subjects;
  • study one additional subject accepted by the institution;
  • meet the prescribed minimum aggregate; and
  • qualify the entrance or merit process.

Many engineering institutions ask for approximately 45–60 per cent aggregate marks. Competitive counselling systems may apply higher requirements and rank-based cut-offs.

Some private programmes may publish broader subject combinations. Applicants should verify the current official prospectus.

BCA AR and VR Eligibility

BCA programmes may accept students from any Class 12 stream, while some require Mathematics, Computer Science or English.

Minimum marks may range from approximately 45 to 60 per cent depending on the university.

BSc AR and VR Eligibility

BSc programmes may accept candidates from Science or another specified stream. Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related subjects may be preferred.

A BSc in Gaming, AR and VR may use merit, an aptitude test, interview or portfolio.

B.Voc AR and VR Eligibility

B.Voc programmes generally require Class 12 or an equivalent qualification. The stream and minimum percentage vary.

Vocational programmes may include multiple exit awards, but candidates should verify the current academic structure.

Diploma Eligibility

Diploma programmes may accept students after Class 10 or Class 12. Some online or part-time diplomas accept Class 12 students from any stream.

A diploma is not equivalent to B.Tech or BSc.

M.Tech AR and VR Eligibility

Postgraduate candidates generally need a relevant bachelor’s degree such as:

  • BE or B.Tech;
  • BSc Engineering;
  • Computer Science;
  • Information Technology;
  • Electronics;
  • Electrical Engineering;
  • Design or another accepted discipline; or
  • MSc in a relevant science, depending on the institution.

Minimum marks and GATE requirements vary. Selected IIT or university categories may provide GATE exemptions under specified conditions.

Certificate Eligibility

Beginner certificates may have no formal prerequisite. Intermediate programmes may expect:

  • programming knowledge;
  • Unity experience;
  • C#;
  • C++;
  • 3D modelling;
  • mobile-development knowledge; or
  • a relevant degree.

Documents Required for Admission

Candidates may need:

  • Class 10 certificate;
  • Class 12 marksheet and certificate;
  • diploma records;
  • graduation marksheets;
  • entrance-examination scorecard;
  • transfer certificate;
  • migration certificate;
  • category certificate;
  • domicile certificate;
  • income certificate;
  • disability certificate;
  • identity proof;
  • passport-size photographs;
  • work-experience proof;
  • statement of purpose; and
  • portfolio, where requested.
