Internet of Things Course Fees

Fees vary widely. The following ranges are indicative totals and not current quotations.

Programme typeIndicative tuition range
Short certificate₹5,000–₹1.5 lakh or more
Government polytechnic diploma₹15,000–₹1.5 lakh
Government/state BE or B.Tech₹40,000–₹6 lakh
Private BE or B.Tech₹3 lakh–₹20 lakh or more
Government ME or M.Tech₹20,000–₹3 lakh
Private ME or M.Tech₹1.5 lakh–₹8 lakh or more

Published course listings show the variation. A B.Tech IoT at Seshadri Rao Gudlavalleru Engineering College has been listed around ₹2.98 lakh, while a B.Tech IoT at RKGIT has appeared around ₹5.40 lakh. M.Tech IoT examples have been listed near ₹80,660 at DAVV, ₹1.81 lakh at VJTI and ₹5.55 lakh at KIIT. Figures may change and must be verified through the current official fee notice.

Additional costs

Students may pay admission, examination, laboratory, library, development, activity and caution charges. Hostel, mess, transport, laptop, books and personal expenses are separate.

IoT projects require boards, sensors, components, tools, batteries and sometimes cloud services. A department with shared equipment can reduce personal cost. Teams should plan components instead of repeatedly buying incompatible modules.

Scholarships

Students can explore government scholarships, category-based support, income-linked schemes, merit awards and institutional waivers. Continuation may require a minimum academic result. Education loans should be assessed against the complete cost.

Return on education

Compare fundamentals, laboratories, faculty, projects, internships and branch-specific placements with fees. An expensive specialisation does not guarantee an IoT job, while a strong affordable CSE or ECE programme can provide an excellent foundation.
