Mechatronics Engineering Entrance Exams

JEE Main

JEE Main is relevant to Mahindra University and other participating institutions according to their current rules. It can also serve as a national score used by selected private universities.

State counselling

TNEA counselling based on Class 12 performance is relevant to participating Anna University-affiliated colleges such as KCG College of Technology, Chennai Institute of Technology and KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. Maharashtra and other states use their notified entrance and counselling systems.

GATE

GATE is relevant to programmes such as MTech Mechatronics at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University and ME Mechatronics at Sinhgad College of Engineering. Each institution specifies eligible degrees, accepted papers and selection weightage.

Other undergraduate routes

MET is used for MIT Manipal's BTech route, while KIITEE is used for KIIT's programme. Other institutions may use MHT CET, KCET, GUJCET, university tests or merit under current rules.

Related postgraduate routes

Postgraduate routes may include GATE, AP PGECET, CEETA-PG, VITMEE, SRMJEEE-PG or institutional selection. Accepted engineering backgrounds differ because Mechatronics draws from Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and related branches.

Programme-title check

Robotics, Automation, Mechanical and Automation, and Mechatronics are related but not identical. Candidates should verify the current award, core syllabus and intake instead of relying on an old search result.

Preparation strategy

UG candidates should follow the official PCM syllabus and practise timed questions. PG candidates should prepare Mechanical or another accepted GATE paper and revise manufacturing fundamentals.
