Planning Entrance Exams

Study Planning eligibility, syllabus, fees, entrance exams, colleges, practical skills and career scope in India.

Diploma, B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, certificates and doctoral study

Understand JEE, state, university, CUET, GATE and postgraduate routes and connect each exam to an active programme.

Planning Entrance Exams

GATE

GATE is used by selected M.Plan institutions, including national schools. Candidates must verify accepted paper, eligibility, score validity, cutoff and institute application.

Maharashtra planning admission route

Maharashtra M.Plan admissions may require a non-zero Maharashtra planning admission route score and centralised counselling. Current rules, category conditions and participating colleges should be checked.

Karnataka PGCET and state routes

Some state or university systems use PGCET, GATE or merit for M.Plan admission. Programme availability and accepted scores vary.

Institute selection

Private universities may assess planning work sample, interview, recommendations and previous academic work. An institute process can be rigorous even without a national score.

JEE Main Paper 2B

JEE Main Paper 2B are relevant to the B.Plan undergraduate foundation, not direct entrance tests for every M.Plan programme.

Preparation strategy

Candidates should revise planning fundamentals, urban planning awareness, environmental issues, site planning, drawing and communication. Planning work sample preparation should begin early.

For GATE or state tests, follow the official syllabus and practise timed questions. For interviews, study previous work and contemporary urban planning concerns rather than memorising definitions.
