Bioengineering Entrance Exams

JEE Main

JEE Main may be accepted by institutions offering Bioengineering. Candidates must also satisfy the institution’s Class 12 requirements.

JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is required for IIT undergraduate admission. It is not required by every Bioengineering college.

VITEEE

VITEEE may be accepted for selected Bioengineering programmes. PCB and PCM students should check the correct paper group.

MHT CET

Institutions in Maharashtra may accept MHT CET. Admission participation and subject requirements can change.

NEET

Selected Bioengineering programmes may accept NEET from eligible students. NEET is not universally required.

Other examinations

Other possible routes include:

  • CUET UG
  • KCET
  • PERA CET
  • University entrance tests
  • Board merit
  • Institutional interviews

GATE

GATE may be accepted for MTech Bioengineering. Eligible GATE papers differ among institutions.

GPAT

GPAT may be considered for eligible pharmacy graduates by selected interdisciplinary MTech programmes.

JAM

JAM may be used for MSc Biosciences and Bioengineering admission at participating institutions.

Entrance preparation

UG applicants should prepare the subjects required by their entrance route. PG applicants should follow the syllabus of their accepted GATE, GPAT, JAM or institutional paper.
