Biomedical Engineering Entrance Exams

JEE Main

JEE Main may be used for Biomedical Engineering admission at NITs and participating universities. Students should check the current seat matrix.

JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is required for IIT undergraduate admission. It is not required by every Biomedical Engineering institution.

TNEA

TNEA is a centralised admission process based primarily on notified Class 12 marks. It is used by several Tamil Nadu Biomedical Engineering colleges.

State examinations

Possible examinations include:

  • AP EAPCET
  • TG EAPCET
  • MHT CET
  • KCET
  • KEAM
  • Other state engineering tests

University entrance examinations

Private universities may conduct their own tests or accept JEE Main and state scores.

GATE

GATE is accepted by many postgraduate programmes. Eligible papers and branch requirements vary.

Entrance preparation

UG candidates should strengthen:

PG candidates should follow the syllabus of their accepted GATE or institutional paper.
