Computer Science Engineering eligibility by level
Eligibility for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) depends on the entry route. AICTE provides broad academic norms, while the affiliating university, state authority or institute may apply additional conditions.

Subject and admission-condition matrix
For regular BTech CSE, Physics and Mathematics are central requirements. Chemistry is not the only permitted third subject under AICTE’s CSE discipline table.

The safest method is to read eligibility in three layers: the regulator’s broad norm, the entrance examination’s candidate rule and the institution or counselling authority’s admission rule. Where these differ, follow the most specific rule governing the seat. For example, satisfying a broad AICTE percentage does not override a qualifying-subject condition in an examination bulletin or an institute’s programme-specific requirement.

Prepare the qualifying marksheet and certificate, identity proof, category or income certificate where applicable, domicile or residence evidence when required, entrance scorecard and photographs in the prescribed format. Lateral-entry applicants may also need semester-wise diploma or degree records, migration documents and proof of Mathematics at the required stage. Names, dates of birth and category details should match across records; even a minor mismatch can delay verification.
