UPTTI's four-year B.Tech in Man Made Fibre Technology has been listed around ₹2.45 lakh tuition. ICT Mumbai's related two-year M.Tech Fibres and Textile Processing Technology has been listed around ₹1.98 lakh. These amounts can reflect different reporting periods or fee components, so current official fee documents are required.
The discontinued Annamalai programme had an older listed tuition of about ₹2 lakh, but that historical amount should not be used for active admission planning.
Additional costs
Students may pay admission, examination, laboratory, library, development and caution charges. Hostel, mess, transport, laptop and personal expenses are additional.
Laboratory coats, safety shoes, project polymers, dyes and industrial visits may add cost. Collective safety infrastructure is the institute's responsibility.
Scholarships
Candidates can explore government scholarships, category-based aid, income-linked schemes, tuition-waiver seats and institutional support. PG assistance may depend on GATE and current policy.
Value assessment
Compare active fibre-spinning and testing facilities, faculty, internships and branch placements with total cost. A broader Textile Technology programme can be better value if the specialised lab is weak.
