Application mode

The 2026 application process was provided online through the university’s admission system. Applicants were required to enter personal and academic details, upload the prescribed documents, pay the fee and submit the application. Merely creating an account or paying a fee without final submission does not necessarily complete registration.

Application process step by step

First, open the official Avinashilingam admission page and select Engineering Programmes for the correct academic year. Confirm that the address belongs to the official university domain or its linked payment/admission service.

Second, create the candidate account using an active email address and mobile number. Enter the candidate’s own details rather than a coaching centre’s contact information, because login alerts and admission messages may be sent to the registered contacts.

Third, complete the personal-information section. The candidate’s name, parent or guardian name, date of birth and category should match the supporting documents. Avoid initials or spelling variations unless the form specifically instructs their use.

Fourth, add the qualifying-examination information. Enter the board, school, passing year, subjects and marks carefully. A candidate awaiting results should choose the appropriate appearing/result-awaited option rather than inventing marks.

Fifth, select the engineering programme or preferences according to the options provided. Programme selection at the application stage may not itself reserve a seat.

Sixth, upload the photograph, signature and supporting records in the formats and sizes displayed by the portal. Files should be clear, correctly oriented and readable.

Seventh, pay the prescribed application fee through the available payment method. the secondary exam guide reports ₹200 for the general category and ₹100 for the reserved category for the relevant application information. The payment screen and official prospectus remain final.

Finally, submit the form and download the confirmation page and receipt. Record the application number and store the password securely.

Application fee

Fees may be non-refundable except where the university’s policy provides otherwise. Candidates should not make repeated payments immediately after a delayed transaction. They should first check the payment status and contact the official helpdesk with the transaction reference.

Likely documents to keep ready

The exact upload list must come from the application portal or prospectus. Commonly required records include a recent photograph, signature, proof of date of birth, Class 10 record, Class 12 marksheet or appearing details, transfer-related documents and category certificate where applicable. Candidates should never upload altered documents.

Common application mistakes

Frequent errors include selecting the wrong AEEE examination, using an unofficial website, entering mismatched spellings, choosing an ineligible branch, uploading blurred certificates, leaving the form in draft status and losing the payment receipt. A careful review before final submission prevents most of these problems.
