AUAT B.Tech application form 2026

The application process was online. Registration started on 17 April 2026 through the admission portal linked from Aliah University’s AUAT page. The brochure gave 12 May as the initial deadline, after which the university first extended the last date to 25 May at 11:59 PM and then issued a further-extension notice on 25 May.

Candidates were advised to read the information brochure and application guidelines before registration. A correct application involved more than creating a login. The university treated the process as successfully completed only when the system generated a confirmation sheet or submitted-application PDF carrying the application summary, photograph and signature.

Steps followed for the online application

1. Visit the official Aliah University website and open the AUAT 2026 admission page.
2. Follow the online application link to the admission portal.
3. Register as a new applicant, or use previous credentials where the portal instructed existing applicants to do so.
4. Enter personal details exactly as supported by official records.
5. Select the appropriate programme code—U21 for regular four-year B.Tech/BCA consideration.
6. Enter educational details and upload marksheets or available academic documents.
7. Upload a photograph and signature in the prescribed pixel size and aspect ratio.
8. Select two preferred test centres in order of preference.
9. Review the mailing address, PIN code, email address and mobile number.
10. Pay the application fee online.
11. Submit the form and wait for the confirmation sheet PDF to be generated.
12. Download, print and preserve the confirmation sheet.

Applicants should note that choosing U21 did not amount to choosing a final B.Tech branch. The U21 rank fed into counselling, where the specific programme was selected. Candidates interested in more than one programme code needed to comply with the maximum-code and fee rules set by the university.

Application fees

The official brochure stated that a candidate could apply for a maximum of four programmes. A female applicant could apply for a maximum of five programmes including B.Sc. Nursing. The displayed amount was per single programme code, so an applicant considering multiple codes needed to follow the portal’s applicable total and instructions.

The application fee was different from the admission fee. Paying ₹500 or ₹400 completed the applicable application payment; it did not cover course admission or guarantee selection. The brochure separately estimated the admission fee for four-year B.Tech/BCA at ₹6,900 and the total course fee at ₹47,250 for the 2026–27 structure.

Application form mistakes to avoid

Candidates needed to avoid using a spelling, date of birth or category different from their certificates. An incorrect mobile number or email address could prevent the university from reaching the applicant. A poor-quality or wrongly proportioned photograph/signature could affect the application or admit card. Selecting U22 instead of U21 would place a student in the lateral-entry category rather than regular first-year admission.

The test-centre preferences also required care. Candidates could choose two cities, but the competent authority made the final allotment. Requests to change the centre later were not entertained. Applicants should therefore have selected two locations they could realistically reach.

Finally, the confirmation sheet mattered. The university explicitly said the application was not complete until that PDF was generated. A payment screen or registration message alone was not an adequate completion check. Preserving the confirmation sheet also made later document verification easier because the submitted application was required at admission.

Exam centres

For undergraduate programmes other than Nursing, AUAT 2026 was planned at selected towns across West Bengal. U21 candidates chose two preferences. The probable cities listed in the brochure were:

The list was described as probable, not an unconditional promise that every centre would operate. The centre name and address printed on the admit card were final for the candidate. The university retained authority over allocation and did not entertain change requests.
