The table reproduces the programme-level categories stated in the official 2026 brochure. The “general” column should be read together with the West Bengal domicile rule. The table does not include BCA, lateral-entry seats or PMSSS supernumerary seats.
Lateral-entry seats are separate
U22 covered entry to the second year for diploma holders in respective or allied programmes with at least 60% aggregate, subject to the remaining eligibility rules. Its test occurred on 28 June 2026 in the first half, not with U21 on 27 June. Its syllabus covered engineering mathematics, basic computer science, strength of materials, engineering mechanics, environmental engineering, basic electrical technology and basic electronics engineering.
The U22 branch totals differed and were much smaller than the regular 60-seat intakes. A student completing Class 12 and seeking first-year admission should not use lateral-entry seats or eligibility to judge their chance under U21.
B.Tech course fees
The official 2026–27 brochure labelled its course fees approximate. For four-year B.Tech/BCA, it showed:

These figures should not be confused with the application fee. They also should not automatically be treated as including hostel, mess, transport, personal equipment, examination charges or every incidental expense unless the university’s fee notice expressly says so. Candidates needed to use the amount and payment deadline printed in their allotment notice.
Specialised degree tracks
The brochure stated that Aliah University offered specialised degree tracks alongside the standard four-year B.Tech structure. It described B.Tech (Honours) as advanced specialisation within the parent department and B.Tech with Minor as expertise in an area outside the parent department. It also referred to multidisciplinary tracks under the university’s academic framework.
These pathways should not be presented as separate U21 entrance branches. They are academic opportunities connected with progression after admission and are subject to applicable curriculum, eligibility, credit and departmental rules. Candidates first entered an ordinary B.Tech branch through the admission process.
