Reading the result and merit position

The official portal provides programme-specific result access. Select the B.Tech direct-entry module if that is the examination or route used. A result screen for another programme may contain a familiar candidate name but operate under a different scoring and selection structure.

For direct-entry CITKEE ranking, the prospectus uses total marks and then the subject order Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English to resolve equal totals. This makes the individual subject record relevant even when two candidates have the same overall score. Do not substitute an age-based or board-mark tie-break without a supporting rule.

Merit is considered separately across the relevant regional and reservation categories. A result is therefore not fully interpreted by one number alone. Read the category, region, route and any status label on the actual record, and retain a complete copy for counselling.

A qualifying score or counselling invitation is not a guaranteed seat. Allocation depends on the applicable merit position, eligible preferences, available seats and completion of admission requirements. Avoid describing every invited candidate as selected before the branch offer and admission conditions are established.
