Preparing the home-test arrangement

The official FAQ describes an online examination taken from home using a laptop or desktop computer with a camera. It does not describe a choice of physical examination centres. A candidate should therefore prepare the actual device and room rather than rely on centre-based instructions from another examination.

Use the registered mock facility and the technical instructions supplied for the appointment. Check the camera, permitted browser or software and connection on the device intended for the test. A successful login on another person's computer does not establish that the student's own setup will work.

Arrange a space where the candidate can work independently and follow the monitoring rules. Keep only the materials expressly allowed in the test instructions. A home location changes the logistics, not the requirement to answer without unauthorised assistance.

If a technical fault occurs, contact the authorised support channel promptly and follow its directions. The FAQ says server-recorded lost time is considered in the technical process. This should not be interpreted as permission to restart, change devices or leave the monitored session without authorisation.
