Registration and the ₹1,000 charge

The official application process lists a ₹1,000 registration fee, including the digital prospectus. Online applicants create a profile, pay through the supported process and complete the academic and programme details. Retain the submitted application and payment acknowledgement with the registered contact information.

The offline purchase route still leads to online registration using the form's unique number. The FAQ says a candidate who has purchased the offline form should not pay the ₹1,000 again merely to register that form online. The purchase method and examination mode are different concepts.

The application fee is non-refundable after payment and submission under the FAQ's stated rule. Check the campus, programme and qualification before completing the transaction. A refundable tuition policy, if applicable later, should not be assumed to change the separate registration-fee rule.

Use the student's accessible email and telephone number. CUCET test details are sent through the registered email, so losing access can affect the examination stage as well as admission communication. If another person helps with the form, the applicant should still control the final account and records.

Selecting the right paper and changing programmes

The paper pattern depends on the qualifying background and programme category. For the engineering-focused non-medical route, the official table includes a Chemistry or Computers component. Confirm which option is recorded in the candidate's application rather than preparing both at random or assuming that the easier-looking option can always be selected later.

A paper option does not alter the programme's academic eligibility. For example, permission to answer a Computers section should not be interpreted as permission to ignore a compulsory school subject. The school qualification and entrance module must both match the intended route.

The FAQ's wording about changing between engineering and non-engineering programmes is internally inconsistent in direction, but it clearly warns against assuming automatic score transfer. If the programme changes, obtain confirmation of the required module and whether another attempt is necessary before relying on the earlier result.

The university also states that scholarship applicability follows the final chosen or admitted programme. A scholarship discussion tied to one programme should therefore be reviewed if the student switches to another. Keep the final award and fee calculation linked to the actual offer.

Attempts and the best-score rule

The FAQ permits two attempts per phase and states a ₹500 charge for a subsequent attempt or phase. It also says that the best score across attempts is considered for scholarship purposes. These provisions create an opportunity to improve performance, but available dates and the applicable phase terms still matter.

Plan a retake around a diagnosed weakness rather than simply hoping for a more favourable paper. If the first attempt reveals weak quantitative reasoning, use the interval for specific practice. Repeating immediately without reviewing performance may leave the same weaknesses unchanged.

A higher score does not necessarily imply a higher final concession if the compared attempts fall under different phase slabs or a different programme scheme. Obtain the university's final scholarship assessment. Do not calculate a hypothetical entitlement by combining the most favourable parts of unrelated phase rules.

Retain every official score record and the eventual scholarship communication. The candidate should be able to show which attempt was considered and which programme the award applies to. A verbal estimate before the result should not be treated as the final fee commitment.
