Selection and personal interview

The official B.Tech page lists personal interviews from 13 April 2026 onwards. Candidates called for an interaction needed to follow the date and mode in their communication. The purpose was not only to repeat academic facts; applicants should have been ready to discuss programme interest, branch preference, schooling and goals honestly.

A polished but false answer can create inconsistencies during document checks. Students should know why they selected a particular engineering branch and understand that branch changes may be governed by availability and institutional rules.

Confirmed list, waiting list and sliding

The official page refers to both confirmed and waiting lists. A confirmed candidate had to complete the specified payment and verification to retain admission. A waiting-list candidate needed to monitor movement and comply with any payment or response instruction.

Sliding means a vacancy created in a higher preference may be offered to an eligible candidate already in the admission pool, according to institutional procedure. It should not be confused with an unrestricted branch change. The university stated that vacancies caused by non-payment could activate sliding and that the development would be communicated later.

Admission-fee deadline

The 2026 official B.Tech page explicitly warned that candidates from the confirmed and waiting lists who failed to pay by 15 May 2026 would forfeit the right of admission and be removed from the admission pool. Students needed to treat this as a substantive deadline, not a suggestion.

Before paying, candidates should have checked the programme, branch, amount, refund/withdrawal terms, beneficiary and last date in the official offer. They should have retained the receipt and avoided transfers to personal accounts or unofficial agents.

Document verification

Documents commonly required at admission included:

• ATIT application and selection letter;
• fee receipt;
• Class 10 certificate and marks sheet;
• Class 12 certificate and marks sheet;
• transfer or school-leaving certificate;
• migration certificate where applicable;
• recent photographs;
• government identity proof;
• diploma documents for lateral entry;
• category or other certificates if claimed and requested;
• medical or anti-ragging declarations if included in joining instructions.

The exact 2026 joining checklist in the candidate’s offer was controlling. Originals could be inspected even when copies had been uploaded earlier. Names, marks and board details had to match the application.

Reporting and commencement

Selected B.Tech students were scheduled to report to campus from 28 to 30 July 2026. Deeksharambh/orientation ran from 31 July to 5 August 2026, and classwork commenced on 3 August 2026. The overlap indicates that academic commencement and orientation activities formed part of the opening period.

Reporting usually involves identity and certificate checks, fee confirmation, registration, programme guidance and campus formalities. Hostel applicants also need to follow separate accommodation instructions. Missing reporting without written permission can place admission at risk.

Admission safety checklist

Candidates should have verified that:

• the offer came from an official IFHE/IcfaiTech channel;
• the branch and entry route were correct;
• all fee heads and deadlines were understood;
• the refund policy was saved before payment;
• payment went to the authorised institutional account or gateway;
• originals and required copies were available;
• reporting travel allowed a reasonable buffer;
• hostel arrangements were confirmed separately;
• every receipt and communication was archived.
