B.Tech branches and accepting college
AMUEEE is primarily linked to B.Tech study at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University. It should not be presented as an exam accepted by many private colleges.
The previous-year seat matrix reproduced by the secondary exam guide listed the following regular B.Tech branches and intakes. These numbers are useful for understanding the programme, but the 2026 official admission guide/seat matrix must be used for final publication if any intake changed.

The table totals 365 seats and should not be confused with third-party figures that combine several engineering programmes, categories, diploma courses, B.E. evening programmes or multiple levels. the secondary exam guide's ZHCET profile, for example, displays a much larger institution-level B.Tech intake figure; that is not automatically the entrance-test seat matrix above. Editorially, programme-code tables from the admission guide are the better source for AMUEEE allocation.
Branch selection notes
Chemical Engineering studies processes, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, reaction engineering and industrial operations. It is broader than laboratory chemistry.
Civil Engineering covers structures, geotechnical engineering, transport, water resources, construction and environmental systems. It suits students interested in infrastructure and the built environment.
Computer Engineering combines programming, algorithms, computer systems, networks and related computing fields. Students should check the current curriculum rather than treating the branch name as identical to every institution's Computer Science programme.
Electrical Engineering includes circuits, machines, power systems, control and electrical technology. Strong mathematical and physical reasoning is valuable.
Electronics Engineering focuses on devices, circuits, communication, signal processing, embedded systems and related fields according to the curriculum.
Mechanical Engineering covers mechanics, design, manufacturing, thermal sciences and machines. It offers a broad base across traditional and emerging industries.
Petrochemical Engineering connects chemical-process knowledge with petroleum refining, petrochemicals and related industrial systems.
Candidates should open the latest ZHCET department and syllabus pages to compare course structures. Branch names alone cannot show electives, laboratories or interdisciplinary opportunities.
B.E. evening programmes are different
The counselling source also listed B.E. evening seats in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, but those programmes have their own eligibility and admission conditions. They should not be added to the regular Class 12 B.Tech seat total. A student interested in B.E. must read its separate entry.
