Correction and admit-card checks

The extended editing date was 14 May. A correction window is an opportunity to repair fields that the Board permits to be edited; it is not a guarantee that every part of an application can be changed. After making a correction, download the updated record and compare the changed field with the original evidence. Retaining only the pre-correction copy makes it harder to establish what the final application actually contained.

When the admit card becomes available, review the photograph, name, examination, centre and reporting instructions together. A candidate who checks only the city can miss a different institution with a similar name. Work out the travel route in advance and allow time for entry checks. The admit card's instructions, rather than a generic checklist from another examination, determine the permitted documents and materials.

If an error affects identity or examination assignment, contact the designated authority promptly and keep a record of the issue. Do not alter the downloaded admit card yourself. An edited printout does not correct the Board's database and can make the discrepancy harder to resolve. The purpose of early checking is to obtain an authorised correction or instruction before the candidate arrives at the centre.
