Application fee and final submission

The 2026 engineering entrance-test fee is ₹2,000 and is non-refundable under the published rules. The document lists online payment through the supported banking, card and UPI channels, with applicable transaction charges or taxes borne by the applicant. This fee registers the entrance application; it is not annual tuition, an admission guarantee or the full cost of joining a programme.

The rules warn that a finally submitted application cannot ordinarily be modified through a later request. Applicants should therefore not rely on an assumed correction window borrowed from another examination. Review personal details, qualification information, selected examination and preferences before final submission. If a problem is discovered, contact the authorised helpdesk, but do not promise the reader that every field can be changed.

The institution also warns against applying for the wrong test. A successful payment for another course's CET does not automatically register the applicant for BV-BTECH. Read the examination label at the beginning and again before payment. This is a practical risk when a common portal lists several undergraduate and postgraduate forms together.

Retain the submitted application and the payment receipt. If the bank shows a debit while the application remains incomplete, record the transaction reference and portal status. The question to resolve is whether the payment has been associated with the intended application. Repeating the entire registration without checking can create more records without fixing the first transaction.

Preferences entered during the application

The engineering rules connect institute and branch allocation with the preferences supplied in the online form. Applicants should therefore consider programme choices before treating the form as a purely administrative step. A preference should identify an institution and branch the student would actually be willing to join. Similar programme names can have different curricula or locations.

Compare the Pune and Navi Mumbai offerings using the correct table. The presence of a branch at Pune does not establish that the same branch is available at Navi Mumbai. Intake numbers describe published capacity, not the remaining seats at a later counselling stage. Preferences should be informed by the programme list, while actual availability is determined during the relevant admission process.

If the student is undecided between branches, investigate the first-year foundations and later core subjects rather than choosing only by a popular job title. Computer-oriented programmes, robotics, electronics and traditional engineering fields involve different balances of theory, design and practical work. The best order is the one that reflects informed willingness to study the course, not a copied list from another applicant.
