The revised examination and counselling calendar

The university's revised undergraduate schedule gives 21 June as the application deadline and 27 June as the engineering entrance examination date. It lists the result on 2 July and counselling from 14 to 17 July. An older date from a general examination summary should not replace this revised official schedule. The engineering row must also be distinguished from rows for other courses on the same page.

The 20 July notice confirms that the engineering test took place on 27 June and that a counselling round had been conducted. It offered another opportunity for the identified candidates who had taken the examination but had not reported for counselling, subject to available seats. That is narrower than a general statement that anyone could obtain admission without the test.

The notice described first-come-first-served admission for its specific vacancy opportunity. That wording should not be used to rewrite the ordinary merit-based counselling process for the whole cycle. Different stages can have different operational rules. Read the stage, eligible group and deadline together before interpreting a later notice.
