Confirmed 2026 status and key dates

The 2026 examination and result stages are complete. NTA's result press release is dated 23 June 2026. As of this review on 25 September, candidates should be looking at their chosen universities' admission or remaining-vacancy notices, rather than waiting for NTA to announce the main result. A university may have a later admission activity without reopening the national examination application.

NTA's conduct notice confirms examination dates from 11 to 31 May and additional sittings on 6–7 June 2026. The June dates matter because the original bulletin's May window was tentative. A retrospective guide should include the subsequently conducted dates instead of retaining the initial calendar as though nothing changed.

This table distinguishes original dates from completed events. The full extension and reopening chronology was not established in this review, so an original January deadline should not be copied into a field labelled final deadline. Candidates seeking a record of their own application should rely on their confirmation and the applicable dated notice.
