Participating campuses and B.Tech programmes
The official 2026 admission page stated that Amrita had eight engineering campuses offering B.Tech programmes. The campuses presented for the cycle were Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Haridwar and Nagercoil. Programme availability was campus-specific and had to be checked in the official branch matrix used during CSAP.
Campus-wise decision points
| Campus | What applicants should verify |
|---|---|
| Amaravati | Exact 2026 branch list, curriculum, hostel and reporting information |
| Amritapuri | Computing, electronics, electrical, mechanical and specialised options actually displayed in CSAP |
| Bengaluru | Branch availability, campus facilities, transport/hostel and commencement date by programme |
| Chennai | Offered branches, fee slab and accommodation details |
| Coimbatore | Programme choices, established campus resources, hostel and academic reporting |
| Faridabad | School/campus offering, branch scope, commencement and accommodation arrangements |
| Haridwar | Available programme, campus facilities and the later August commencement information |
| Nagercoil | Branch matrix, admissions support, accommodation and July reporting details |
Across campuses, the admission page used abbreviations for programmes such as CSE, Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Cyber Security, Computer and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and Automation, and specialised computing options such as Quantum Computing where offered. Availability and naming were not identical everywhere.
Students must use the 2026 CSAP choice list as the final authority. A branch shown in a general university brochure may be a minor or may not be open at every campus. The official page itself notes that some specialisations are offered as minors. Selecting a broad B.Tech programme with a minor is different from admission to a separately named degree.
How to choose a branch and campus
First identify academic interests. A student who enjoys algorithms and software may prioritise computing programmes; one who likes circuits and communications may prefer ECE or related programmes; one drawn to machines, design and manufacturing may prefer Mechanical Engineering. Then compare curricula instead of relying only on branch titles.
Next calculate the complete cost under the allotted slab. Add tuition, hostel, mess, deposits, travel and personal expenses. Consider distance from home and climate, but do not ignore academic fit. Review laboratories, clubs, internships, faculty areas and the common placement model using official campus information.
Finally, prepare preferences before the portal deadline. Discuss them with family, save a written order and enter them carefully. A last-minute list built from guesses can lead to an option the student never seriously considered.
