Hall ticket and computer-based testing

The HD test is conducted on computers at designated centres. It is not an unrestricted test that the candidate can take from any laptop. Questions and instructions are in English, and the candidate selects an answer from the available choices. Familiarity with basic mouse and keyboard operation should be developed before the examination so that navigation does not consume attention needed for solving questions.

Review the hall ticket for identity details, the assigned test combination, date, reporting time and venue. Applicants selecting a special programme may have a different required combination from someone taking the ordinary discipline test alone. If the document appears inconsistent with the submitted application, raise the issue through the authorised channel before the examination. Editing the downloaded ticket does not change the institution's record.

Plan the journey around reporting rather than the scheduled start alone. Entry checks and centre procedures take time, and the candidate needs to arrive ready to begin. Follow the actual instructions on identification, permitted materials and prohibited devices. A preparation book's general advice cannot establish that a calculator or other aid is allowed in the assigned examination.
