Examination fees and refund wording

The reviewed 2026 application information lists examination fees of ₹200 for General, ₹150 for OBC and ₹100 for SC, ST and PWD categories. It also describes a refund for Chhattisgarh residents who appear in the examination, returned to the bank account used for payment. That is a conditional refund description, not a statement that every applicant can skip the payment step.

A refund and a fee exemption operate differently. Under a refund arrangement, money may first be paid and later returned after the required condition is met. A student should preserve the transaction reference and avoid closing or losing access to the payment account while a legitimate refund is pending. The payment screen and official instructions remain the authority for the actual transaction.

The entrance fee should not be confused with a counselling registration charge, a seat acceptance payment or college tuition. These payments support different stages. When preparing a budget, label each amount by purpose and due date. Comparing two isolated amounts without their purpose can make a normal later payment look like a duplicate charge.

If payment status is unclear, check whether the application itself shows successful submission. A bank debit alone does not always establish that the examination system accepted the payment. Use the official support process with the registration number and transaction details instead of repeatedly creating new records or paying through an unrelated link.

Completing the application accurately

Prepare the school record, identity details, photograph and other required uploads before entering the form. Read the upload requirements on the actual portal rather than resizing files according to an old guide. A clear image within the accepted format is more useful than a visually elaborate scan that obscures the name, marks or certificate number.

Names should follow the relevant academic and identity records. If a discrepancy already exists, address it through the accepted correction or supporting-document route. Altering a document image to match the form is not an acceptable solution. The application should preserve a traceable relationship with genuine records that can be checked later.

The correction window is an opportunity to fix permitted fields, not an assurance that every field can be changed at any time. Review the submitted application immediately while the correction opportunity still exists. Compare the subject information, category, contact details and chosen examination details against the intended submission rather than checking only spelling.

Save a final copy after corrections. An earlier downloaded form may no longer represent the submitted record. Label copies by date so that the version used for later reference is clear. This is especially useful when a student receives help from a family member or a service centre and several versions of the form exist.
