CG PET 2026 Important Dates

The recorded examination calendar

The reviewed 2026 coverage records registration from 2 to 27 March, followed by a correction window from 28 to 30 March. CG PET was held on 14 May. The provisional answer key was reported on 26 May, with objections accepted up to 1 June. These dates should not be replaced by dates now displayed on pages that have rolled forward to 2027.

The reviewed reports disagree on whether the result was released on 12 June or 15 June. This article therefore does not turn either date into an unqualified fact. The practical result information is that the 2026 result was available before the main counselling stages. A candidate's official score record remains the source for the individual marks and rank.

An examination calendar should also distinguish admit-card release from reporting time. Downloading a hall ticket several days earlier does not mean a candidate may arrive at any point during the examination session. The centre's reporting and gate instructions are separate operational requirements that must be read from the candidate's own admit card.

Counselling dates and the later September round

The official B.Tech schedule issued on 24 June records first-round registration from 30 June to 6 July, allotment on 10 July and admission reporting from 11 to 15 July. Second-round registration ran from 17 to 21 July, with allotment on 25 July and reporting from 26 to 30 July. The original third-stage registration period was 1 to 6 August.

A later official additional spot-round notice included B.Tech registration from 5 to 8 September, merit publication on 9 September and institution-level attendance on 10 September at 10 am. Admission activity under that notice continued into 11 September. These dates have passed as of this review, so the notice should not be advertised as a current opportunity.

The later notice requires a separate online application for each counselling stage. It also explains the treatment of an existing admission when applying for institution-level counselling. Applicants should read that stage's exact conditions before trying to change a seat. Merely seeing a vacancy or visiting an institution does not replace the prescribed registration and merit procedure.

A useful calendar separates registration, merit review, allotment and reporting. Missing any one can have a different consequence. A student who completed registration but did not report after allotment is in a different position from one who never registered. Keep the acknowledgement for each action rather than treating the whole period as a single counselling date.
