Application charges and programme selection

The application charge listed for General, OBC and other candidates is ₹500; for SC/ST candidates it is ₹250; and for candidates from the North Eastern Region it is ₹100. The brochure describes the charge as applying per candidate per programme and as adjustable against the admission fee.

That adjustment needs careful interpretation. It does not mean a guaranteed cash refund, and it does not mean that the application charge is automatically deducted from tuition. When an admission invoice is issued, identify the application-fee credit and the remaining admission amount. Avoid counting the same charge twice in the family budget.

Selecting a programme is an academic decision as well as an online form choice. Confirm the relevant entry qualification before paying. If an applicant is considering more than one permissible programme, the per-programme wording matters; do not assume that a single payment necessarily purchases unrestricted consideration for every course.

Category and regional concessions require the documents specified in the application instructions. A lower fee should not be selected simply because the applicant lives temporarily in a particular place or expects a certificate later. Establish the applicable definition and evidence before submitting a declaration.

Completing the application accurately

Use an email address and mobile number that the applicant can access throughout admission. Save the registration credentials securely and avoid depending entirely on a shop operator's contact details. A later offer, correction or payment query may require access after the original application session has ended.

Prepare the photograph, signature and applicable certificates before opening the form. The official instructions require clear images and give file-format and size conditions. Inspect the uploaded preview, because a readable original can become unusable after excessive compression or incorrect cropping. Keep complete certificate edges and identifying details visible where required.

Enter the qualification exactly as it appears on the records. A short informal course name may conceal a difference relevant to post-diploma eligibility. Where the portal asks for marks, use the prescribed calculation and the institution's recognised conversion method for grades. Do not invent a percentage merely because an input box requires a number.

Review programme, category, centre preferences and contact details before final submission. Preserve the submitted application and payment acknowledgement together. A successful bank debit and a completed application are related but separate events; if the portal status remains unresolved, follow the official payment-support process with the transaction reference.
