The verified question distribution

The 2026 brochure specifies a one-hour computer-based test with 50 questions. Crucially, it gives different subject distributions for the programme groups. A single uniform Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics table would mislead applicants, especially those entering the Class 10 diploma route.

A dash means that the brochure does not list a separate section under that heading. It should not be read as proof that related knowledge can never appear within another subject. For instance, numerical reasoning can still be needed to answer a Science question even when Mathematics is not a separately allocated diploma section.

Permitted 2026 secondary coverage reports no negative marking. The official brochure material reviewed here establishes the course-specific distribution and duration but did not independently settle that penalty rule. Read the actual test instructions before deciding how to handle uncertain answers; this article does not present secondary reporting as a directly verified official marking clause.

Fifty questions in sixty minutes gives an average of seventy-two seconds per question. That is a planning calculation, not a time limit imposed on each item. A short vocabulary question may take far less time, leaving room for a calculation that requires several steps. Practise moving on when an item stops producing useful progress.
