Official JEE Advanced 2026 schedule

Deadline dependencies

Registration and fee payment are separate milestones. Completing the form without a successful payment can leave the candidature incomplete. Likewise, downloading an admit card does not cure an eligibility defect. The admit card is permission to enter the centre under provisional candidature; documents and eligibility can still be checked later.

Both examination sessions occur on the same day with a break between them. Candidates should plan food, medication, transport and rest for a full-day commitment. The centre’s re-entry and reporting instructions must be followed exactly. Missing Paper 2 after writing Paper 1 makes the candidate ineligible for evaluation under the published two-paper requirement.

The response and key windows are exceptionally short. Download the response copy as soon as it appears. When the provisional keys are released, compare the recorded response, question and official option carefully. A challenge should be based on a precise technical argument, not on an expected score or an answer remembered from coaching discussion.

Personal deadline system

Create three reminders for every critical activity: the opening time, an internal deadline at least 24 hours before closure, and the official closing time. Use the internal deadline for registration, payment, objections and counselling choices. Last-hour submissions are exposed to power failure, bank delays, browser sessions, server load and document-upload errors.

Maintain one folder containing the brochure, schedule, registration record, fee receipt, admit card, response sheet, submitted challenge, scorecard and counselling documents. Name files with the date and purpose. This simple archive is valuable if a payment is not reflected, personal details differ between portals or an institute requests evidence during reporting.

Dates after the result

JEE Advanced’s result is followed quickly by JoSAA registration. Candidates should research programmes before the rank is released rather than starting from zero after 1 June. Prepare a broad preference list, examine the official seat matrix, understand category and gender-neutral pools, and review previous opening and closing ranks as historical evidence rather than guarantees.

The JoSAA schedule controls registration, mock allocations, choice locking, rounds, payment and reporting. The JEE Advanced schedule only indicates the tentative start. Use the live JoSAA schedule for seat-allocation deadlines. A candidate who has a valid JEE Advanced rank but does not complete JoSAA actions on time receives no automatic protection.

Future-year visitors must not reuse the 2026 dates. The sequence is informative, but exact dates belong only to the 2026 cycle until a new official schedule replaces them.
