Answer key and result interpretation

The official admissions site provides the 2026 A- and B-series papers, preliminary key, final key and result report. A-series question numbers must be compared with the A-series column of the applicable key. A mismatch of series can make many correct responses appear wrong. Before calculating anything, confirm the year, series and whether the document is preliminary or final.

An objection to a provisional key should identify the precise question and the reason the proposed answer is incorrect. A useful submission contains the candidate's reasoning and permitted supporting evidence, following the announced process. It does not merely state that several students selected another option. For 2026, the stated objection window has passed; the historical procedure should not be described as a currently available route to challenge a result.

The final rank is distinct from an estimated score. The brochure provides tie resolution through Part A, then Part B, then Part C, followed by date of birth if needed. A private score estimate does not reproduce all aspects of the official ranking process. If two students report similar estimated marks, it is not valid to assume that they must receive the same rank or that one rank proves an evaluation error.

The published result report is arranged by hall-ticket number. Locate the exact number rather than a visually similar entry and retain the personal rank card needed for admission. Avoid sharing an entire result file with annotations containing additional private information when an individual record is sufficient. The university's brochure states that revaluation or personal verification of the OMR sheet is not provided, so an article should not promise such a remedy.
