Certificate verification and choice entry

Counselling introduces requirements beyond sitting the examination. The documents listed by the university include the rank card, hall ticket, qualifying-examination records, transfer and conduct records, proof of date of birth, study or residence evidence, and relevant category certificates. Additional documents apply in particular circumstances. The applicant should follow the current verification instructions rather than assume that uploading the entrance form supplied every document required for admission.

Organise the records by what they establish. Academic documents establish the qualification; study or residence records support the applicable status claim; category documents support a reservation claim. This structure makes it easier to respond when verification identifies a specific deficiency. Sending every file again without identifying the missing evidence may not resolve the issue and can leave the applicant uncertain about whether the problem was addressed.

Choice entry should begin with an offline preference draft. Compare each acceptable branch against subject interest, the self-supported fee and willingness to join. Then copy the intended order into the portal and check the saved version. If family members are helping, settle differences before the final submission. A last-minute disagreement over the first preference can be more consequential than adding another low-priority option at the bottom.

The final-phase notice made a particularly important distinction: choices entered in earlier phases were not carried forward for that final phase. Applicants participating in it had to enter fresh options. Someone who had already obtained a seat and was satisfied with it did not need to seek a new allotment. These instructions demonstrate why each round's notice must be read separately rather than assumed to repeat the preceding round.

The notice also warned that obtaining a new seat through the fresh options meant losing the claim to the previous allotment. A candidate considering an upgrade should therefore submit only choices genuinely preferred to the seat already held, within the applicable process. The question is not simply whether a different branch might become available. It is whether the candidate is prepared to replace the existing seat if that option is allotted.

Allotment, payment and reporting

An allotment should be checked against the saved preference list and the candidate's records. Confirm the branch, admission category, amount due and deadline. If a discrepancy appears, seek clarification through the official channel promptly. Do not decide that an unexpected programme title is harmless because the university name is correct; the course attached to the offer is the course for which the student is making an admission commitment.

Payment and reporting are separate actions unless the university expressly combines them. Save the payment acknowledgement and complete the reporting instructions in the allotment communication. An online fee transaction does not, by itself, prove that the student attended an offline reporting requirement. The final-phase schedule listed online payment followed by offline reporting, which makes that distinction especially relevant to the 2026 process.

At reporting, carry the originals and copies specified by the university and obtain an acknowledgement for any documents retained. Keep the admission confirmation with the allotment and payment record. Once the seat is confirmed, ask about the academic calendar, registration for classes and any pending university formalities. These are the immediate next steps; repeatedly checking the old entrance application page is no longer the most useful task.

Withdrawal requires reading the applicable university policy before acting. The brochure contains phase-linked refund provisions, and a later instruction may affect a particular case. Do not assume that another institution's refund rule applies here or that simply failing to report is equivalent to filing a withdrawal request. A student comparing two offers should establish the required action, deadline and financial consequence for each offer separately.
